Are you a glass half empty or a glass half full person? The same situation can be seen through a lens of scarcity or a lens of abundance. Jesus demonstrates this through the miracle of feeding more than 5000 with 5 loaves and two fish.
Summer is a time for gathering and eating - picnics, grilling, roasting marshmallows, dining on an outdoor patio. We ask and give thanks to God for the food that nourishes us and for providing all our basic needs when we pray, “Give us today our daily bread.” In the coming weeks, we’ll explore food stories in scripture and how God’s work in us and in the world brings life in new ways every day.
