This past summer a lot of work was started on landscaping around the Tiny Homes on our property. A sidewalk was put in connecting all the homes to the church parking lot and a garden was established. All this was done to enhance the area that is shared with both the church and the Tiny Home community.
Part of the process required the old asphalt to be removed and the ground leveled for the garden area. Some additional landscaping was required to complete the project. Collaboration with Kristin, the residents of the Tiny Homes and James Erickson and myself helped design plans for a retaining wall on 2 sides of the new garden. Mulch and wood chips were put down along with steps and a cement walking path along the wall.
This was a team effort spearheaded by James Erickson that brought several groups together to create a finished product that everyone could use and enjoy. It was a great experience that started new conversations and relationships. This is a small example of what the church is all about. Check it out this summer!
