As you may have heard by now, Prince of Peace is the recipient of a bequest from Rose Diestler’s estate. Rose was a beloved member of our church for many, many years and this is an exceptional act of generosity. Included in her bequest is her former home. The Congregation Council has created the Generosity Committee to recommend to the Council what to do with the home. The Committee desires to hear your ideas.
It turns out Prince of Peace isn’t the only church that has ever been the beneficiary of some unexpected generosity. To help frame the work of our Generosity Committee, we’re taking a close look at the lessons the leaders of LaSalle Street Church learned in response to receiving a similar windfall.
