As we head into Easter Sunday and the Easter Season, it is important for us to ask ourselves how we can live our life like Jesus’s I AM statements. The Huruma Centre is a ministry of the Iringa Diocese in Tanzania and provides a safe home, nurture, nutrition and education for children who, for a variety of reasons, have no family or others to care for them. On Sunday, April 8th, Pastor Chris Smith, Coordinator of the Friends of Huruma will be our guest preacher. Friends of Huruma will help provide care for the children of the Huruma Centre through mutual relationship, prayer, financial support, and programs that enrich the lives of the children.
April’s Adult Forum will include a forum hosted by the Social Concerns Committee, a conversation with St. Paul Area Synod Bishop Patricia Lull, and two forums concerning refugees and citizenship.
At a March 25 special meeting, the congregation unanimously elected the attached slate of members who have volunteered to serve on the Call Committee for an Associate Pastor/Deacon for Faith Formation.
We need your feedback on our draft Mission Site Profile, the document used by our Call Committee and the Synod staff during our search process for the Associate Pastor for Faith Formation.
